ChatGPT Turns One - and the Future of Generative AI
Gartner's Avivah Litan on Impact of OpenAI Drama and State of Gen AINov. 30 marks the one-year public birthday of ChatGPT. Gartner's Avivah Litan shared insights on the current state and future of generative AI, as well as the potential market after-effects of the pre-Thanksgiving drama involving OpenAI, its board and fired/reinstated CEO Sam Altman.

Litan said the "phone's been ringing off the hook" from companies looking for advice on the security and risks of AI adoption.
"Security-minded folks are very concerned - that are being pushed by the business to move ahead - so I'm witnessing a lot of tension in the organizations, and I am just trying to bring it down to earth," Litan said.

She chairs Gartner's blockchain research community of analysts and helps manage the company's research for application leaders.
