AI Success Hinges on Business Synergy, Collab and Use Cases

However, for seamless integration of AI into the business and technology road map, AI experts Mohit Kapoor, group CTO, Mahindra Group, and Anirban Nandi, head of AI products and analytics (VP), Rakuten, emphasized the importance of careful planning, collaboration and practical use cases.
"At the Mahindra Group, most initiatives which are going to be as radical and powerful as AI start with the business and sometimes even with the customer," Kapoor said, adding that the group is currently exploring various AI models, recognizing their unique capabilities to address specific business use cases.
Nandi recommended building a cross-functional team to ensure seamless collaboration. "Assemble a multidisciplinary team comprising data scientists, AI engineers, domain experts and business analysts, which takes forward the AI initiatives with the organization," he said.
The panelists concurred that despite the vast opportunities presented by AI, critical considerations such as biases, security and data governance must not be overlooked.
